The abandoned school

Thunder flashed through the dim sky as I walked through the gigantic school gates. The light shower of rain had turned into a blizzard of water. No one was outside except for me making the playground seem abandoned and haunted. I rushed inside the warm and bright school building. The hallways were filled with chatter and teachers trying to control the crowd of anxious students. I wondered what they were all talking about so excitedly.

Soon my daredevil friends appeared out of the mob. They informed me about the spreading rumours of a terrifying ghost in an abandoned school down the street. Apparently a scream emitting from the building had been heard late last night. Ever since it happened the hot summer weather had turned into a freezing winter storm. Researchers were all studying the sudden change. I asked my daring friends if anyone had entered the rundown school but I was interrupted by Olivia who suggested that we spend a night together in it. Before I even had a chance to express my thoughts every single one of my friends agreed. It left me with no choice but to follow them.

When the moon was high in the misty sky, we snuck into the sinister school unsure of what could happen. The decaying floorboards creaked at every step we took. Me and my group of friends were about to invade the science lab when a shriek erupted through the crumbling hallway. Suddenly out of the blue an old ghastly face of an old lady materialised in front of our pale faces.

We scurried out of the haunted school never to return there again. The rumours were true and my shocked friends and I had proved it .
