OBBI WON KONOBI means HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAUGHTER.

AHI OBBI CUP WON means DAUGHTER IS HAPPY TODAY.

AHI OBI CUP WON means SON IS HAPPY TODAY.

Which word means BIRTHDAY?

A : OBBI B : WON C: CUP D : KONOBI E : AHI

To identify them, look for words like “language” or “translate” and a requirement for you to find a word or words in another language.

The strategy to answer these questions

To answer these questions:

  1. Read through to find the question – what are you asked to do.
  2. Look at what’s common and what’s not in the language provided to you. Establish rules.
  3. Look at parts of speech. Language is made up of parts of speech. Which word functions as the noun, subject, verb, adjective, etc…? English has a particular structure but other languages (including made up languages) may convey the same meaning with a different structure. Establish rules you can use.
  4. Isolate out your answer through elimination of options.

In the olden days, sailors would say "ejaff icki" when they've had a good smooth run at sea which meant "easy sailing". When they arrived home, their children would ask them, "ejaff icki o-pecko?", which meant "Was smooth sailing"? The sailors would either reply "o-pecki ejaff icki" ("Was smooth sailing") or "o-pecki ajaff icki!"
